The Lure of the Tuscan Landscape

On our many daily drives through the Tuscan countryside to various destinations, we are continually having to pull over the car to marvel at the amazing textured landscapes. Tuscany is very agricultural and has such a unique feel to it. The land has been very impacted by human activity for a really long time, and it is very beautiful how all the different farming activity comes together in different shades, colours and textures. As the sun changes position, and the clouds roll over the land, the colour of the fields seems to change constantly -- it is almost like watching a slow art film in action. Alternately, it can also seem like a living canvas of art. Even though we aren't painters, it makes one feel like picking up a paintbrush! Many of the homes and the villages tend to be on the tops of hills and on the highest parts of the landscape making for some very interesting views. It is easy to see why there has been such a movement of people from around the world buying up old farmhouses and coming to live in Tuscany for parts of the year. We thought we would just share a few of these landscape images in this blog entry. No need for further commentary.

If you are just checking the blog today, we have done two very recent entries, so scroll on down. Even more are to follow, this place inspires . . .

Until next time . . .
